CBSE and ICSE to cancel their board exams of class 10 and 12

The proposal to cancel the board exams of CBSE and ICSE is finally been approved by the supreme court on Friday. The exams which was scheduled for class 10 and 12 on july 1 is now cancelled.the supreme court also gave them the order to declare the results by July 15. Tushar Mehta the solicitor general appearing for CBSE told the supreme court at the board’s decision is true student and they should not be forced to opt for the examination within stipulated period of time after declaring the results as contented by a group of parents the ICSE board also added that it is agreed with the scheme framed by CBSE but they would also give option to both class 10 and 12 students to take the test if they wanted which is which will be conducted in future.

The board will prepare results for the pending subjects on the basis of examination startup already been conducted and internal assessment performance the class 12 exam results will be declared by July 15 class 10 and class 12 exams will not be held for remaining papers and the board may allow students to appear for the exam at a later date when situation is conducive.CBSE exam controller sanyam Bhardwaj said for students who appeared in the examinations in only three subjects the average of the marks obtained in the best performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examination have not been conducted he said for students who appeared for only one paper or two exams the assessment will be based on practical work and class projects such students were mainly from Delhi also have the option of taking the written exams at a later date.

It was also tweeted by the human resource development minister doctor Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank in Hindi that I am grateful to the honorable supreme court for accepting a proposal not to conduct CBSE exams for class 10 and 12 between July 1st to 15th to ensure safety of students. Schools and colleges across the country have been closed and exams postponed since March when the government announce the nation wide lockdown to contain the covid-19 outbreak.

It will be a great relief for the students as they will be saved from risking their life by not entering into the school premise. They all can stay at home and prevent themselves from spreading the covid-19.
